BUCKHORN — Despite a dominant all-around effort from junior standout Bailey Bristow, the Oneida Baptist Lady Mountaineers couldn’t overcome Buckhorn on Tuesday, falling 71–55 on the road.
Bristow was spectacular from start to finish, stuffing the stat sheet with 30 points, 19 rebounds, 8 blocked shots, 6 steals, and 5 assists in one of the most complete individual performances of the early season.
Freshman Sophia Garcia Silva continued to impress as well, delivering 14 points, 7 steals, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists, giving Oneida Baptist a strong one-two punch. Junior Jackaylah Lewis also made her presence felt on the glass, pulling down 9 rebounds.
The Lady Mountaineers will look to rebound quickly as they head to the Amazon Roundball Classic this Saturday at Louisville Collegiate School. OBI will play Collegiate at 12 p.m., followed by a matchup with Presentation at 2:45 p.m.
