Knox Central 30, Williamsburg 6
Williamsburg had hopes of entering next week’s Class A playoffs riding a two-game win streak, instead the Yellow Jackets will limp in losing two of their last three games.
Jerry Herron’s squad fell to 5-4 after dropping a 30-6 decision to Knox Central while finishing regular season play.
Williamsburg will now switch its focus to Friday’s Class A first round home matchup against Paintsville.
The win improved the Panthers to 5-5. They’ve won four of their last six games and will travel to play Letcher Central next Friday to open the Class 3A playoffs.
Harlan County 26, Shelby Valley 20
The Black Bears will enter next week’s Class 4A playoffs red-hot after capturing their third win in a row on Friday.
Harlan County hit the road, defeating Shelby Valley, 26-20, improving to 7-3.
They’ve won four Black Bears will host Wayne County during first round action of the Class 4A playoffs.
East Ridge 43, Harlan 0
The Green Dragons finish regular season play with a 1-9 mark after Friday’s 43-0 setbacks to East Ridge.
Harlan will travel to play Middlesboro during next Friday’s Class A playoff first round matchup. The two teams played on Oct. 3 with the Green Dragons dropping a 58-0 decision.
