Pineville 58, Jackson County 6
The Mountain Lions are catching fire at the right time, improving to 5-5 while handing Jackson County a 58-6 loss on Thursday.
Pineville will be back in action next Friday in a Class A playoff matchup against Hazard.
The Generals finishes the season with a 1-9 record.
Clay County 36, Lynn Camp 0
The Wildcats never got on track against a Clay County team that jumped on them early.
Clay County picked up a 36-0 win over Lynn Camp while improving to 3-7. The loss dropped the Wildcats to 5-5.
Short-handed Lynn Camp was without leading rusher DJ Wren and only had 12 players dressed due to injuries.
The Wildcats will be back in action next Friday on the road against Pikeville during first round action of the Class 5A playoffs.
Madison Southern 36, Whitley County 0
The Colonels wrapped up their season by dropping their ninth straight game, a 36-0 loss to Madison Southern.
Whitley County started the season with high expectations but never got on track after its win over Knox Central.
Injuries played a big role in the Colonels’ struggles.
They were shut out three times this season and only scored in double digits on two occasions.
