CORBIN — Darrell Hendrix’s Lynn Camp Wildcats snap a 23-game district losing skid thanks to a 34-6 win over Harlan on Friday.
The 28-point win marked the Wildcats’ 5-3, 1-2) first district win since defeating Pineville, 40-34, on November 8, 2019 during first round action of the Class A playoffs.
Despite having numerous injuries entering the game, Lynn Camp powered its way to the win behind a ground attack that finished with more than 300 yards rushing.
“I’m very proud of the kids tonight,” Hendrix said. “We’ve had a ton of injuries and only had 14 kids dressed. Everyone stepped up and play hard. We gotta get some guys healthy this and get ready for the next one. DJ Wren had over 200 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Braylon Humfleet had another 100 yard rushing night and Jamie Gregory had good night running the ball.”
