Oneida Baptist caps regular season with 2-0 win over Rowan County

MOREHEAD — Oneida Baptist closed out its regular season in strong fashion, earning a 2-0 victory over Rowan County on Saturday.

Hero Khajohnsupawatchara and Henrique Gabardo provided the offensive spark, each scoring a goal to secure the Mountaineers’ 14th win of the year. The result moves Oneida Baptist to 14-3 heading into district tournament play.

“Really happy to get a shut out win vs a quality team,” Mountaineers coach Hunter House said. “The game got really chippy, with five cards being shown which definitely wasn’t what we wanted. But I’m very proud at how our boys kept their composure and finished the game off. I thought Caiden Robb played his best match of the season in goal for us. Now we will prepare for Corbin in the district next week.”
