Oneida Baptist added another hard-fought win to its resume on Thursday, defeating Madison Southern 3-2.
The Mountaineers, now 12-3 on the season, were led by Henrique Gabardo, who scored two goals, while Hero added a goal and an assist.
“We came out strong and went up 1-0 early,” Oneida Baptist coach Hunter House said. “The momentum shifted when they scored to make it 1-1 and then 2-1. We came out strong in the second half, scoring back to back goals. We had to finish out the match with 10 men due to a red card. Very proud of the boys for a grind it out win vs a solid team. We take this momentum to finish the rest of the season.”
