Williamsburg knocks off North Laurel in four sets

LONDON — Dirk Berta’s Williamsburg Lady Yellow Jackets picked up a big regional road win, defeating North Laurel in four sets on Monday.

Williamsburg dropped the first set (22-26) before rallying to win the final three sets, 25-24, 25-9, and 25-20, marking only the second time the Lady Yellow Jackets have beaten the Lady Jaguars (4-10).

“Credit to North Laurel coming out ready to play and credit to our girls and the way that they responded,” Williamsburg coach Derek Berta said. “This group has a great trust for each other and their abilities and a resilience that is unmatched, especially when unforeseen challenges come against them. They continue to ‘Pull The Rope’, always. Credit to our assistant coaches and the way they stepped up tonight as well. As always, Go Jackets.”
