Jaguars Dominate Middlesboro 8-0 Ahead of Senior Night

LONDON — The North Laurel Jaguars improved to 7-5-2 on the season with a dominant 8-0 victory over Middlesboro on Monday night.

Head coach David Broyles said his team came in with a clear plan and executed well from the start.

“We came out with the intention of possessing the ball tonight and working on a few things for games later this week,” he said. “I felt like we were able to do that and we scored early and often. We quickly had a 6-0 lead and we were able to get some of our younger guys in. I was glad we were able to do this since we have lost several JV games this year and they need the game experience. We scored 2 more goals for the 8-0 win with about 12 minutes left in the second half.

“Proud of how the boys conducted themselves on the pitch tonight,” Broyles added. “We were also able they our starters some much needed rest with Boyle County coming in for senior night tomorrow and a tough district game Thursday at Corbin.”

North Laurel will celebrate senior night Tuesday when Boyle County visits, before turning its attention to a key district matchup at Corbin on Thursday.
