CORBIN — The Corbin Redhounds improved to 6-5-1 on the season with a 2-1 win over East Jessamine.
Senior JP Carmichael provided all the offense for the Redhounds, scoring both goals to give Corbin a 2-0 lead at halftime.
The victory capped off a special day for the program, as Corbin High School officially dedicated its soccer field to former coach Armando Cima, naming it “Cima Field.”
“A great first half performance led to a 2-0 lead at half,” Corbin coach Roger Taylor said. “We let a little bit of the intensity drop in the second half which we need to continue to work on. We appreciate the large crowd today and congrats again to Coach Cima on the field dedication.”
