WILLIAMSBURG — The Whitley County Lady Colonels rolled to a 7-0 victory over Rockcastle County on Saturday, improving their record to 8-4-1.
“Great win for the Colonels,” Whitley County coach Nick Shearer said. “Jerrica Shepherd and Denae Henderson had three goals a piece and Raelynn Jackson had a goal of her own. We also had three assists from Courtney Smith, two assists from Denae Henderson, and one assist apiece from Madison Wilson and Keira Cheek.
“Great defensive performance as well were able to keep the shutout and our keeper Rhegean Strickland did a good job distributing the ball when she had it,” he added. “Overall, a great performance from defense to offense. We are looking towards our next game.”
