LIBERTY — The Whitley County Lady Colonels picked up a solid road win Saturday, defeating Casey County 2-0 to improve their record to 6-3-1.
Jerrica Shepard scored one goal for the Lady Colonels, while Denae Henderson added the other, finishing off an assist from Courtney Smith.
“Defense did a great job keeping the clean sheet throughout the whole game and played hard from start to finish,” Whitley County coach Nick Shearer said. “Our midfield was all over the field making plays and setting up our forwards for some good looks. Overall, a good performance and we are looking towards our next game.”
