Lady Black Bears sweep Harlan in 52nd District clash

HARLAN — The Harlan County Lady Black Bears continued their early-season surge on Thursday night, rolling past crosstown rival Harlan in straight sets, 25-15, 25-11, 25-5, in a 52nd District matchup.

The win pushed Harlan County’s record to 3-1 and extended its winning streak to three matches. The Lady Black Bears set the tone early with strong serving and steady defense, never allowing the Lady Green Dragons to find their rhythm.

Harlan, now 2-8 on the season, battled in the opening set but struggled to keep pace with Harlan County’s balanced attack as the match wore on. The Lady Black Bears dominated the third set with a 20-point margin to seal the district victory in convincing fashion.
