JACKSON COUNTY — The Williamsburg Lady Yellow Jackets bounced back in a big way Thursday, defeating the Jackson County Lady Generals in straight sets, 25-19, 25-12.
The victory allowed Williamsburg to even its record at 5-5 while also rebounding from an earlier district loss this week to Corbin.
Head coach Dirk Berta praised his team’s effort and execution following the win.
“Our girls played well and were able to come to Jackson County and win,” Williamsburg coach Dirk Berta said. “We’re thankful for another quality match against a top All A team. We were able to take some things we worked on in practice and put it into the game, which was good to see. As always, Go Jackets.”
