LONDON — The North Laurel Lady Jaguars are still searching for their first win of the season after falling to Pulaski County in straight sets, 25-13, 25-17, 15-12.
The loss drops North Laurel to 0-4 on the year, while Pulaski County’s steady play at the net and strong service game proved too much for the young Lady Jaguars to overcome.
North Laurel coach Lauren Culver acknowledged the difficult stretch her team has faced.
“We came up short tonight against Pulaski after a quick turnaround from playing Whitley County last night,” Culver said. “Our girls have some improvements to make before we face Corbin on Thursday.”
Despite the defeat, North Laurel showed flashes of growth, especially in the final set where they pushed Pulaski to the wire.
The Lady Jaguars will look to build on those positives as they turn their attention to another district rival on Thursday — the Corbin Lady Redhounds.
