Jerrica Sheppard scores four goals during Lady Colonels’ 5-2 win over Perry Central

HAZARD — Nick Shearer’s first game as head coach of the Whitley County Lady Colonels’ soccer team turned out to be a good one.
The Lady Colonels received four goals from Jerrica Sheppard while Courtney Smith added one goal in the 5-2 win over Perry Central.
“Reagan Strickland delivered an outstanding performance, securing two breathtaking penalty saves and totaling nine crucial stops,” Whitley County assistant coach Beck Prewitt said. “Aliyah Nugent dominated the midfield with numerous interceptions, showcasing exceptional vision to drive the ball forward. Callie McQueen and Olivia Richardson formed a formidable defensive duo, dynamically shutting down attacks with precision and tenacity.
“Jerrica Shepherd was electric, netting four goals by expertly exploiting defensive vulnerabilities with clinical precision,” she added. “Courtney Smith added a stunning strike from 16 yards out, perfectly placed into the corner of the net.”
