IRVINE — Whitley County scored early and often in its 9-1 blowout win over Estill County on Monday.
Rizzo Cima led the way with four goals and one assist while Brody Moses added two goals, and one assist. Rowen Walters and Levi Huddleston scored a goal apiece while Bryson Mahan finished with two assists. Logan Simpson and Isac Perez added an assist apiece.
“We played slow the first half and failed to capitalize on several chances,” Whitley County coach Michael Branham said. “In the second half, we played our way and started finishing much better. It was great to start the season on a high note, we hope to continue this momentum the rest of the week and into the 2A early next week.”
