LONDON — Eleven different Whitley County Colonels got a hit during their 22-0 win over Williamsburg in semifinal action of the 50th District Baseball Tournament.
The Colonels improved to 24-6 on the season while the Yellow Jackets finish with a 3-20 mark.
Whitley County wasted little time taking control of the game, pushing across eight runs in the first inning and 14 runs in the second inning.
Colonel pitcher Eli Powers recorded a no-hitter while striking out four batters.
Williamsburg didn’t help its own cause by committing seven errors that led to 11 unearned runs.
Caden Mountjoy led the Colonels with a hit, three RBI, and one run scored. EJ Allen and Ty Petrey both had a hit, two RBI, and two runs scored while while Powers, and Clint Partin both drove in two runs apiece. Henry Bowling and Kip Allen both finished with a hit, an RBI, and two runs scored while Ronald Osborne finished with a hit, two RBI, and a run scored. Kaden Powers had Christian Wilson, and Chris Cureton each had a hit, an RBI, and a run scored apiece while Jason Nunleyhad a hit, and a run scored.
