HAZARD — North Laurel hit the road on Thursday, only to suffer a 4-2 setback to Perry Central during the process.
The Lady Jaguars (25-6) fell behind 2-0 in the first inning before scoring a run in the fourth inning to cut their deficit to 2-1.
The Lady Commodores added two insurance runs in the fifth inning to secure the win.
Tessa Monhollen led the way with two hits and an RBI for the Lady Jaguars while Morgan Edwards drove in a run. Emma Carl, Saige McClure and Bella Sizemore all had hits in the loss.
Carl suffered the loss in the pitcher’s circle, allowing three hits and four earned runs in six innings of work. She struck out 10 batters.
