Redhounds drop 8-2 decision to Madison Central 

CORBIN — Madison Central struck for three runs in the first inning and never looked back during its 8-2 win over Corbin in Friday’s Eli Hill Invitational.

The Redhounds (14-13) answered with a run in the bottom of the first but the Indians added two runs in the third inning and three more in the sixth inning to put the game away.

Clay Botner led Corbin with two hits while Noah Cima finished with a hit, an RBI and a run scored. Jaden Broughton added a hit while Kade Elam scored once.

Hunter Todd took the loss, allowing six hits and three earned runs. He finished with two strikeouts. Botner pitched four innings, giving up a hit and no earned runs. He struck out two batters.
