Corbin picks up 17-2 win over Model 

RICHMOND — Kade Elam got the job done on the mound, pitching three shutout innings while allowing only three hits to lead Corbin past Model, 17-2.

The Redhounds’ (14-11) one through four hitters combined to go 7-for-12 with nine RBI while Trey Person led all batters with a 2-for-2 effort while driving in four runs and scoring three times.

Noah Cima finished with two hits and three RBI while Cam Estep and Caden Broughton both finished with two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored. Elam had a hit and two RBI in the win. 

“It was good to get back out on the field after all this weather,” Corbin’s Cody Philpot said. “We did a good job taking advantage of the opportunities we were given.”
