Lady Colonels cruise to 23-1 win over Williamsburg 

WILLIAMSBURG — Whitley County improved to 11-11 and 2-1 against 50th District opponents after defeating Williamsburg on Monday, 23-1.

The Lady Colonels scored 11 runs in the first inning and never looked back. They added three runs in the third inning and nine runs in the fourth inning.

Mia Prewitt led Whitley County with a 4-for-5 effort at the plate while driving in five runs and scoring four times. Caylee Singleton and Morgan Huddleston both had a hit and three RBI while Jayden Barton, Hallie Huddleston, Madison Lunsford each had hit and three RBI apiece.

Singleton got the win, lasting two innings while allowing a hit and no runs. She struck out four batters. Adalee Johnson also pitched two innings, allowing a hit and one earned run. She finished with two strikeouts.
