NICHOLASVILLE — Corbin took a brief 1-0 lead against West Jessamine before falling behind for good in the bottom of the second when the Colts struck for four runs.
The Redhounds (9-8) entered the seventh inning trailing, 8-2, and attempted to rally but could only muster two runs and eventually fell, 8-4.
Hunter Todd started the game on the mound, lasting three innings while allowing four hits and two earned runs. He finished with one strikeout. Jaden Broughton pitched the final three innings, giving up five hits, and two earned runs while finishing with a strikeout.
Kade Elam led Corbin with two hits while scoring once. Noah Cima and Broughton each delivered run-scoring hits while Lucas Tarvin also drove in a run.
