CHICAGO, Ill. — The combination of having only two hits while committing eight errors that led to eight unearned runs played big parts in Whitley County’s 12-1 loss to Oak Harbor.
The Lady Colonels held a 1-0 lead entering the third inning, and then the wheels fell off.
Oak Harbor scored four runs during the inning while adding a run in the fourth, two runs in the fifth, and five runs in the sixth inning.
Cambree Price had Whitley County’s lone hit while also scoring a run, too. Jayden Barton had the Lady Colonels’ lone RBI.
Caylee Singleton took the loss, going six innings while allowing 10 hits, and four earned runs. She struck out four batters.
