MANCHESTER — Angela Singleton’s Whitley County Lady Colonels managed only three hits during their 12-0 loss to Clay County on Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers scored five runs in the first inning and added seven more runs in the third inning to secure the win.
Cambree Price, Hallie Huddleston, and Madison Lunsford had Whitley County’s lone hits.
Presley Griffith connected with a grand slam for the Lady Tigers, finishing with a hit, four RBI, and a run scored. Madison Sizemore had three hits, two RBI, and two runs scored while Carlie Wolfe drove in two runs and Sydney Stewart and Alivia Hoskins drove in a run apiece.
Abby Bowling got the win for Clay County, allowing three hits and no runs while striking out eight batters.
