BARBOURVILLE — Clay County fought back from a 4-2 deficit to even its record at 2-2 with an 8-5 win over Knox Central.
Ethan Jackson hit a home run, finishing with two hits, two RBI, and one run scored while Talan Marcum hit a home run as well, delivering a hit, two RBI, and two runs scored. Johnathan Smith also drove in two runs and finished with two hits.
Marcum got the win, tossing 6.1 innings while allowing six hits and five earned runs. He finished with three strikeouts. Jackson got the save, recording the final two outs while striking out a batter.
