Smith’s 28 points power Williamsburg to 97-25 win over Ligon Cogo

WILLIAMSBURG — Anthony Hibbard’s Williamsburg Yellow Jackets continue to build momentum with the 50th District Boys’ Tournament just a few weeks away.

The Yellow Jackets captured their second win in a row, improving to 14-8 after recording a 97-25 win over Ligon Cogo on Saturday.

“Proud of our guys tonight,” Hibbard said. “We shared the ball and shot it well. We also had some guys get some much deserved minutes. With two weeks remaining in the regular season, we have to continue to stay the course and try to improve every game.”

Andrew Smith led Williamsburg with 28 points. Five of those came in the second quarter, and he added eight more points in the third quarter.

Cooper Prewitt tallied 21 points while Conner Saylor scored 13 points and Reece Hatcher finished with 12 points.
