Mountaineers heating up, hand Leslie County, 49-47, loss

MANCHESTER — Oneida Baptist continues to roll, defeating Leslie County, 49-47, while improving to 12-11.

Jacob Rogers led the way with 21 points while

Jason Erhunmwunse had 10 points and five rebounds. Dennis Esemuede had seven points, 11 rebounds, four steals and four blocks.

“We knew coming in that points would be at a premium tonight and that we would have to win this game on the defensive side of the ball,” Oneida Baptist coach Larry Gritton said. “I am so proud of my kids for the way they battled their way to a hard fought win. Jason Erhunmwunse did yeoman’s work on the defensive end of the floor and our other players also executed our defensive game plan at a high level. Back to work tomorrow to prepare for an upcoming week of big home games.”
