MOUNT VERNON — Corbin controlled the match from start to finish Tuesday, turning in a dominant performance to sweep Rockcastle County, 3-0.
The Lady Redhounds set the tone with a 25-8 victory in the opening set and never allowed Rockcastle County to gain momentum.
“Really proud of our girls tonight,” Corbin coach Krystal Jones said. “I thought we came out focused and played really good team volleyball from start to finish.”
Corbin continued to roll in the second set, winning 25-10, before closing out the sweep with another convincing 25-8 victory in the third.
Jones was pleased with the contributions she received throughout the lineup and the way her players continued to play together.
“We had contributions from so many different people, and that’s what makes this group special,” Jones said. “They continue to trust each other, play for each other and celebrate each other’s success. It was a good win for us. As always, it’s a great day to be a Redhound.”
