HARLAN — The state’s No. 2-ranked Whitley County Colonels continued to flex their dominance Monday, cruising past Harlan in a 13-0 rout.

The Colonels pounded out 10 hits and got production throughout the lineup.
“Eli Powers threw really well tonight,” Whitley County coach Jeremy Shope said. “Proud of how he competed. Our defense played well and we were able to make some adjustments at the plate and put pressure on them. Go Colonels.”
Kip Allen led the way with a perfect 3-for-3 performance, scoring three runs and driving in two, while also delivering a home run. Ethan Allen added two hits and two RBI, and Henry Bowling chipped in a hit with two RBI.
On the mound, Eli Powers was dominant, tossing five shutout innings while allowing just one hit, striking out six, and walking two to secure the win.
