THOMAS WALKER, VA. — Julie Moore and Lauren Partin made sure Lynn Camp’s bats never cooled off.
Moore blasted two home runs and drove in seven runs while Partin delivered a monster performance of her own with five hits, five runs scored and three RBI as the Lady Cats rolled past Thomas Walker, 21-10, on Monday.
“This was a great win for us,” Lynn Camp coach Nikki Hendrix said. “We had to move players around defensively and they were able to get the job done. We started seventh grader Reagan Knuckles pitching and she got her first win tonight. We brought Julie Moore in to get the save and they both pitched well. Everyone hit the ball well tonight and got at least one hit. Julie hit the ball extremely well tonight, hitting two home runs and was responsible for seven RBI. We are still figuring a lot of things out and hope to get better every game.”
Lynn Camp (2-8) erupted for 26 hits and put the game out of reach with a nine-run third inning, turning an early deficit into a runaway win.
Moore’s power display highlighted the night, finishing with three hits and seven RBIs, while Partin was unstoppable at the plate, reaching base in all five of her at-bats and scoring five times.
Bella Gambel added four hits and four runs scored, Alissa Weymers chipped in four hits, and Lily Henize finished with two hits and two RBI as Lynn Camp’s lineup produced runs up and down the order.
Reagan Knuckles added two hits and two RBI, Bailey Disney drove in a run, and Ella Frazier contributed an RBI as part of the 21-run outburst.
