PINEVILLE — Bell County used timely hitting and a pair of home runs to spark its offense, pulling away for a 7-4 win over Williamsburg on Tuesday.
The Lady Bobcats (3-1) did damage early and often, highlighted by home runs from Jayda Boateng and Addison Maiden, helping Bell County pile up seven runs on 10 hits.
After Williamsburg pushed across four runs in the third inning to briefly take the lead, Bell County answered with two runs in the bottom half before adding insurance runs in the fourth and sixth innings to take control.
Boateng had a huge night at the plate, finishing with two hits, three runs scored and a home run, while Maiden added two hits, two RBI and a home run.
Kenley Foster also chipped in with a hit and an RBI while multiple Lady Bobcats contributed to a balanced offensive attack that kept pressure on throughout.
In the circle, Adyson Scott picked up the win, tossing a complete game while allowing four runs on five hits and striking out 11.
