Saylor, Boateng Lead Bell County Past Knox Central in 9-8 Thriller

PINEVILLE — Behind big nights from Tristan Saylor and Jayda Boateng, Bell County edged Knox Central, 9-8, in a back-and-forth battle Monday. 

Saylor led the Lady Bobcats with two hits and three RBI while Boateng added three hits and an RBI, helping Bell County (2-1) pile up 10 hits in the win. Addison Maiden chipped in two hits and a run while Adyson Scott scored twice, had a hit, and earned the win in the circle.

Bell County broke through late, scoring seven runs over the final three innings, including a four-run sixth that proved to be the difference.

Knox Central (1-1) jumped out early and stayed in front most of the night before Bell County’s late surge. 

The Lady Panthers were paced by balanced production throughout the lineup, collecting nine hits and building an 8-2 lead heading into the later innings.

In the circle, Scott went the distance for Bell County, allowing eight runs (five earned) while striking out six to secure the victory.
