MIDDLESBORO — Middlesboro broke things open early and never looked back Monday, rolling to a 14-4 win over Lynn Camp.
The Lady Yellow Jackets (1-1) scored runs in every inning, highlighted by a five-run third inning that put the game away.
Addison Lucas led the offensive attack at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI while Kenna Lawson added two hits and drove in three runs of her own. Trinity Partin scored three times and added a pair of hits to help fuel the 13-hit performance.
Middlesboro’s lineup stayed aggressive throughout, with multiple players turning in stellar efforts, including Aubrie Womack and Abby Jackson, who each crossed home plate twice while finishing with a hit apiece.
In the circle, Lawson earned the win, tossing three strong innings while allowing just two hits and no earned runs. Partin followed with two innings of relief, striking out six.
Lynn Camp (0-3) managed four runs on four hits, with Julie Moore driving in two runs and Lauren Partin scoring twice. Moore, Partin, Bella Gamble, and Emma Burnette each had a hit apiece.
