HARLAN — Harlan County wasted no time setting the tone Monday, erupting for 10 runs in the first inning on its way to a dominant 17-2 win over Barbourville.
The Black Bears (2-1) added five more runs in the third and two in the fourth to put the game away early, showcasing one of the most explosive offensive performances of the young season.
Raegan Landa led the charge at the plate, driving in three runs while reaching base and scoring as part of Harlan County’s relentless attack. Jayden Smith added two RBIs, while Addison Adams chipped in with two RBI of her own.

Harlan County finished with 12 hits and drew seven walks, consistently applying pressure and capitalizing on scoring opportunities.
In the circle, Madilyn Fields delivered a strong performance, striking out nine while allowing just two runs on five hits over four innings to earn the win.
