Leslie County rallies past Corbin, 5-3

HYDEN — A big fourth inning proved to be the difference Friday night as Leslie County rallied past Corbin, 5-3, handing the Lady Redhounds their first loss of the season.

Corbin (1-1) grabbed early momentum with a two-run third inning, but Leslie County answered in a big way, scoring five runs in the bottom of the fourth to take control.

The Lady Redhounds finished with six hits on the night, led by Kaili Sanders, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Apple Terrell scored two runs while Cami Price and Chloe Bays each added a hit.

Macie Santos got the start in the circle, striking out six over three innings. Terrell was strong in relief, allowing just one hit over the final three innings while keeping Corbin within striking distance.
