MIDDLESBORO — Crystal Stidham’s Corbin Lady Redhounds opened their 2026 campaign with a loud bang.
Corbin’s bats were red-hot while Apple Terrell turned in a stellar effort in the pitcher’s circle as the Lady Redhounds handed Middlesboro a 19-6 win while hammering out 16 hits.
“It was a good start for my Lady Redhounds,” Stidham said. “This is such a great group of ladies. They played all team and all for each other tonight. Apple Terrell took the mound for our first game of the season and was a baller on both sides of the ball. Macie Santos came up big with three hits along with Apple. She also pitched an inning.
“Lydia King, Mikaila Hopkins, Olivia Anderson, and Makenna Wilson all collected a couple hits, and Allie Neeley and Cami Price both collected a hit each,” she added. “Chloe Bays got one and Kaili Sanders collected two RBI to go along with the hitters. The girls found their rhythm and just so proud of them. We worked as a team and got the job done. Proud of my Lady Redhounds.”
