Jackson County improved to 17-8 with a 71-65 overtime win against Oneida Baptist on Monday.
Tansen Truett led the way with 19 points, Wyatt Gray and Brennon Combs both added 18 apiece.
“Tansen Truett came up big for us tonight on both ends, his hustle was unmatched,” Jackson County coach Parker Stewart said. “I thought Joona did a really good job on the glass and made things difficult for Branstutter inside. Brennon and Wyatt hit some big shots to keep our scoring going. Too many times we’ve gone on scoring droughts this season for two, three, and four minutes, and it was nice to see some shots go in and guys get into their rhythm. Credit to OBI they played really hard and are well coached, I like their team a lot — it was a fun game to be a part of ending in overtime.”
