Lady Yellow Jackets get back on track with win over Ligon Cogo

WILLIAMSBURG —  Melissia Douglas’ Williamsburg Lady Yellow Jackets snapped a three-game losing skid on Thursday, handing Ligon Cogo a 55-41 loss.

The Lady Yellow Jackets (6-11) turned in a ln impressive effort on both ends of the court.

Abby Moses scored eight points in the first quarter while helping Williamsburg take a 15-8 edge entering the second quarter.

The Lady Yellow Jackets knocked down three 3-pointers in the second quarter and managed to take a 30-21 lead into the locker rooms at halftime.

Williamsburg secured the win by outscoring Ligon Cogo, 11-7, in the third quarter and 14-13 in the game’s final eight minutes. 

Moses led the Lady Yellow Jackets with 17 points while Ellie Breeding finished with 12 points.
