Five Lady Tigers score in double figures during 68-45 win over Jackson County 

Clay County pulled away in the second half to earn a 68-45 victory over Jackson County, improving the Lady Tigers to 12-10 overall and 1-2 in district play. The loss dropped the Lady Generals to 5-12 overall and 0-3 in district action.

The game was close early, with Clay County holding a 14-7 lead after the first quarter. The Lady Tigers began to create separation in the second period, outscoring Jackson County 18-9 to take a 32-16 halftime lead.

Clay County delivered its biggest punch in the third quarter. The Lady Tigers exploded for 26 points in the period, stretching their advantage to 58-29 entering the fourth quarter and putting the game out of reach.

Clay County’s balanced scoring attack was key. 

Maci White led the Lady Tigers with 15 points, while Kenzie Grubb scored 12 points, and Carly Fultz added 11 points. Madison Pendland chipped in with 14 points, and Lauryn Sizemore contributed 10 points as Clay controlled the tempo and dominated the paint.
