HARLAN — A 19-point scoring effort from Jaycee Simpson, combined with 11 points from Jaylee Cochran and 10 points from Reagan Clem helped guide Harlan County to an easy 69-44 win over 52nd rival Harlan on Friday.
The Lady Black Bears held a 28-23 edge at halftime before outscoring the Lady Green Dragons, 41-19, in the second half.
Harlan County limited Harlan to only for field goals in the second half. The Lady Black Bears also sealed the win by hitting 15-of-22 free throw attempts in the second half.
Addison Campbell led Harlan with 17 points while Cheyanne Rhymer scored 10 points.
The win allowed the Lady Black Bears to even their record at 9-9, and 1-2 against district opponents while the Lady Green Dragons are now 5-13, and 1-3.
