CORBIN — Red Bird stunned homestanding Lynn Camp Friday, notching its first win in 18 years over the Wildcats with a 63-48 decision.
The Cardinals trailed 14-13 at the end of the first quarter before taking a 28-23 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Ashton Lewis scored nine points in the third quarter while Landon Belcher and Xavier Roark both knocked down a 3-pointer apiece, pushing Red Bird’s lead to 43-34 entering the fourth quarter.
Roark helped the Cardinals out the game away in the final eight minutes by scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter.
Lewis led Red Bird with 23 points while Roark finished with 20. Belcher followed with nine points.
Landen Rose led Lynn Camp with 17 points while Caleb Woods finished with 13 points.
