HARLAN — Middlesboro captured consecutive wins over Harlan County for the first time in almost 17 years after recording an impressive 62-31 over the Lady Black Bears on Friday.
Led by Emily Lambert’s 25-point, five 3-pointer effort, the Lady Yellow Jackets also recorded their largest margin of victory ever against Harlan County.
Sally Adams’ squad has now won four in a row while improving to 2-1 in 52nd District competition while the Lady Black Bears fall to 8-8, and 0-1.
Millie Roberts added 19 points in the win for Middlesboro while recording seven rebounds.
Regan Clem led Harlan County with eight points in the loss while Kylie Runions had six points, Jaylee Cochran five points, and Jaycee Simpson finished with four points.
