WILLIAMSBURG — Jackson County improved to 14-6 while Williamsburg’s struggles continued Thursday.
The Generals jumped out to a 23-15 lead in the first quarter and never looked back during their 72-27 win over the Yellow Jackets.
Jackson County had four players reach double figures in scoring with Brennon Combs’ 17 points leading the way. Tansen Truett added 12 points while Braylon Combs added 11 points, and Joona Holm finished with 10.
The loss dropped Williamsburg to 1-18 as the Yellow Jackets’ losing skid is now at 12 games.
Lane Jeffries led Williamsburg with eight points while Eli Russell and Asher Ellis scored six points apiece.
