MCKEE — Jackson County turned in its most explosive offensive performance in more than a year on Monday night, rolling past Trinity Christian 96-39.
The 96 points marked the highest scoring output for the Generals since a 96-point effort against Lee County on Dec. 2, 2023, and moved Jackson County to 10-4 on the season—just one win shy of matching last year’s 11-win total.
Jackson County set the tone early and never looked back, showcasing unselfish offense and relentless defensive pressure throughout the contest.
Brennon Combs delivered a career night, pouring in a personal-best 31 points while knocking down six three-pointers to lead all scorers. Tyler Sandlin followed with 16 points, while Joona Holm added 12. Tansen Truett finished in double figures as well with 11 points.
The Generals’ balanced scoring reflected an offense that consistently moved the ball and found high-percentage looks, while their defense fueled transition opportunities and kept Trinity Christian in check.
“I was impressed to see how well our guys shared the ball tonight,” Jackson County coach Parker Stewart said. “We continue to hang our hat on defense. This group has really improved since the summer and continues to show up everyday ready to get better. Brennon Combs had a huge night , he deserves it he’s a hard worker and elite competitor — never takes a play off. Very happy for him.”
