CORBIN — Harlan and Middlesboro renewed their 52nd District rivalry in dramatic fashion Monday night, with the Lady Green Dragons edging the Lady Yellow Jackets 53–52 in the first round of the 13th Region All ‘A’ Classic.
The win improved Harlan to 4–9 on the season, while Middlesboro slipped to 7–4.
The game stayed tight throughout with Harlan holding a 14–12 lead at the end of the first quarter and a slim 32–30 advantage at halftime. The Lady Dragons carried a 43–42 lead into the fourth quarter as both teams continued to trade baskets in a back-and-forth contest.
Harlan was led by Addison Campbell with 18 points while Cheyanne Rhymer added 13. Raegan Goodman chipped in eight points as the Lady Dragons found just enough offense to hold off a late Middlesboro push.
Middlesboro was paced by Addison Lucas with 17 points. Millie Roberts followed with 14 points, and Emily Lambert added nine in the narrow loss.
