PINEVILLE — Pineville opened the girls’ Chain Rock Classic with a convincing 62–34 win over Jackson County on Monday.
The Lady Mountain Lions improved to 5–4 on the season with the victory, while Jackson County fell to 1–6.
Rachel Howard led the Lady Mountain Lions with 15 points while Clara Strange followed with 14. Katie Hammontree added 10 points, and Madison Johnson chipped in eight.
Jackson County was led by Kimberly Judd, who knocked down three three-pointers and finished with nine points. Hannah Jackson, Rylee Bowman, and Baylee Berry each scored five points for the Lady Generals.
