Day 1 at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Blowout got off to a strong start for the Knox Central Lady Panthers, who earned a 51–41 win over St. Pius Catholic of Atlanta, Georgia.
Knox Central used balanced scoring and steady defense to control the game and improve to 7–2 on the season with the victory.
Shelbie Mills led the Lady Panthers with 17 points to go along with two assists and two steals. Kylie Smith followed with 12 points, three rebounds, and two steals, while Shelbi Smith knocked down three three-pointers and finished with nine points. Kaylynn Smith added eight points in the win.
