Lady Bobcats get revenge, hand Paintsville, 57-48, loss

LEXINGTON — David Teague’s Bell County Lady Bobcats avenged their lone loss of the season by defeating Paintsville, 57-48, during Saturday’s Defender Classic.

The win improved the Lady Bobcats to 9-1 as Kairi Lamb led the way with 18 points, 17 rebounds and five blocked shots. Nevaeh Allen had 15 points, two assists, and two steals while Gracie Barton finished with 12 points, nine rebounds and three blocks. Aubree Miracle had eight points and five rebounds while Gracie Barton finished with three points. Brylee Redmond added two points, a steal and a block while Rachel Redmond delivered two points, two rebounds, a steal and an assist.

Bell County led 16-10 after the first quarter, and 32-20, at halftime before taking a 45-34 edge into the fourth quarter.
