Jackson County cruised to a 73-30 victory over Fulton City on Monday, turning in a balanced scoring effort as the Generals pulled away early and never looked back.
Freshman Eli Summers led the way with 17 points while junior Joona Holm added 16 as Jackson County showcased its depth and unselfish play throughout the contest. Freshman Tyler Sandlin finished with 10 points, and sophomore Wyatt Gray chipped in eight.
Tansen Truett, Bentley Gray, and Briley Rose each scored six points, while junior Brayden Vickers added four to round out the scoring for the Generals.
“I was impressed with our ability to share the ball in a lopsided game like tonight,” Jackson County coach Parker Stewart said. “A lot of times you see guys get selfish in those situations but we continued to share the ball. After Christmas break we have a tough schedule ahead, starting with the Cumberlands Falls Classic next weekend. We have to get back and the gym and continue to improve.”
