WILLIAMSBURG — Whitley County closed out a dominant four-game slate with a 74-44 victory over Harrison County, finishing the BSN Borderline Classic with a perfect 4-0 record.
The Colonels (8-2) set the tone early as Tootie Mahan scored nine points in the first quarter to help Whitley County take a 14-11 lead after one.
Riley Fuson then took over in the second quarter, pouring in nine points as the Colonels stretched the advantage to 30-17 by halftime.
Whitley County put the game away in the third quarter, erupting for 29 points and building a commanding 59-32 lead entering the fourth quarter. Fuson added 11 points during the period while Henry Bowling chipped in eight.
Fuson led Whitley County with 20 points, while Mahan followed with 15. Bowling finished with 13 points to round out the balanced scoring effort.
